We live around the corner from here, so we visit a lot. I know there's a review on here about regulars...but there was a time when we were NOT regulars and there's a reason we kept coming back! The wings are second to none, and you can't beat the price. The service is fantastic, regardless of which girl you get. They're all friendly and efficient. My wife gets the club wrap just about every time, though we've had most things on their menu. The menu may be limited, but it's a PUB, not a restaurant. If there's one thing I wouldn't recommend, I'd say the onion rings. That said, they still seem to be a hit...just not a fan of the batter. Other than that, have at it! Read more

The service by the wait staff is excellent. The manager and the owner are both excellent people who are the right fit for this establishment. This is a neighbourhood 'pub' where the patrons and the staff are accomodating, friendly and there is a family feel to the pub. My spouse and I are regulars there now and have enjoyed many meals prepared by their cooks. The meals range from appetizers to their many entrees: toasted western sandwich to the sirloin steak done to perfection. Whatever they prepare is done very well. Only once have I had a complaint but there was a new cook on staff. Things are great now. Try this pub out for a meal and a couple of drinks, you will not be disappointed. Have a game of pool or darts while listening to your favourite music on the techically advanced "juke box". It's not the same anymore. "Come on in to a place where everybody knows your name." Cheers! I had been to this location of Jack Astor's in the past, but I haven't been in a while. I was thoroughly impressed with this place! We decided to sit outside since it was a nice day. Our server came out right away and gave us our menus. She was kind and helpful when we were making our meal selections. I chose the honey garlic chicken fingers with sweet potato fries. They were very delicious! The chicken fingers came with two types of dips, and the sweet potato fries came in a small dish which was very convenient. I was curious to see what the fuss was about here. I agree with many of the posters here that the food is excellent and the service is attentive. I disagree with the posts that the decor is dated. I thought it was classic and elegant. The room we dined in had a vintage late 20th century look that matched the age of this well built house. Real oak doors, oak trimwork and a real brick and mortar fireplace provide warmth and character. It is annoying to see places that replace classic fixtures with things just because they are newer. The carpet and acoustic tiles may not be chic enough for some diners, but for family and date atmosphere, they attenuate the background noise which is most welcome. Read more

Been twice for lunch in the past 3 months, once on a weekday , once on a saturday. Very busy on Saturday, and understaffed, but the servers did a great job considering the number of tables. Burger was excellent, melted in my mouth, a tiny bit of hot pepper mixed in was subtle, but a tasty novelty. Everything seemed freshly made with fresh ingredients. Fries were shoestring style, but piping hot and very good. Dry ribs were a tiny portion and virtually no meat, but my son liked them anyway. Rather expensive, over $100 both times. I know there were issues with this place but over the last month management seem to have made a real effort to get things sorted out with a new bar person and new staff and a manager that now walks the floor to make sure everything is running smoothly.
