Tres bien, tres bien, fantastique! A group of 10 of us went out for a special occasion, my mother's birthday, and everyone at our table absolutely loved their meal. We all had something different, but all was delicious! Our relatives are fussy eaters, so this restaurant is a rare gem indeed! My fillet of sole and escargots were delicious, my husband loved his steak & frites, my mother loved her liver dish, my uncle raved over the French onion soup and lamb chops. Desserts were delicious. The piano jazz music was wonderful and really set the scene. We had the most wonderful evening ever!

I love this place mainly because of the ambience. A great friendly, busy atmosphere that is hard to beat. We ordered from the prix fixe menu. The food is very well presented by (often over) attentive staff - my pork medallions were a little like snitzels, but the vegetables were cooked well - not too much...
Again, the staff were very polite and always there - however a little over attentive for my taste.
It's always busy with pre-theatre goers, so either come early or around 8:00 when the crowds are enjoying the theatre...
We arrived at 5:45pm to avoid the dinner rush. We ordered the complete set dinner of appetizer, main course and dessert for $27.99 each. When after 45 minutes we had yet to see our appetizers we enquired about it and our waiter said, "but your food has to be cooked, no?" When we pointed out that we were only talking about our soup and salad he reluctantly agreed to get it for us. We had to keep enquiring about our main course and the waiter only said that he would look into it but we were forced to wait 1 and1/2 hours before our main course arrived. The pork medallions and the fish were essentially tasteless, analagous to some very bland and overdone caferia fare. Our desserts were magnificently unimpressive. Other customers were complaining to the manager about the food and service too. After we left we passed by a submarine sandwich store and said to each other that we could have had a better meal (much faster too) for a fraction of the cost.
