Murray Scott was called to the Ontario bar in 1977 and, as a partner of the firm, he maintains an active solicitor’s practice in real estate, business law, and estate planning. He acted as counsel in the Northern Ontario conversion of an international oil company, local hospital transition, and Northern Ontario distance education re-organization. Murray sits on the Board of Directors of Science North. He is the longest-serving member and a former Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation, an Ontario Crown Corporation which invests one hundred million dollars annually to build strong, prosperous northern communities. He is a former Chair of the Board of Governors of Cambrian College and a former President of the Rotary Club of Sudbury Sunrisers.
