VERY Fine Dining

I've been to a lot of Italian Fine dining restaurants and this one in particular stood out to me. The food was very well cooked to my liking. The pasta itself was perfectly made and the sauces always compliment the dish! I had the Fusilli Rustica with Rose sauce. The service is phenomenal. Always friendly and they really know their dishes. The price is also VERY affordable compared to other restaurants. The ambiance suits the restaurant and it really is a beautiful place. It makes me feel like I'm in Italy ! I highly recommend this fine-dining restaurant. You won't be disappointed!

Vacation Must Go To!

My husband and I go to Mississauga/Toronto for vacation every August and detour down to Niagara Falls. But we ALWAYS stop at Thyme Ristorante. They have a huge selection of food and drinks and you can even mix&match, or personalize what you want and what you dont want. And behind their 5 page menu, they even have a Thai menu! Which is great because I love asian food and my husband loves european food. Deep Fried WonTons ARE A MUST HAVE!! it has several types of cheese, crab meat and some other warm goodness! DO NOT TRY AT HOME... it was a failed attempt! We've tried several restaurants, casual and high end, but nothing compares to the price, food and service of this place. PS TABLE 24 IS THE BEST IN THE HOUSE

Cold plates, = Cold food

Went for dinner on a Friday with a couple friends. The place was fairly busy but not full. Service at the table and atmosphere was decent but the main courses took almost an hour to get after our appetizers and when they arrived most of the food was cold as were the plates. The demiglace on my veal had a skin on it and it was obvious that it had been sitting in the window for a while. I pointed it out to the waiter who apologized and asked if we wanted to reheat our food but by then we had to leave so I took a few bites and got the rest to go. I have heard good things so maybe we went on an off night. Prices are very reasonable.

Thyme was great once but now Randy the waiter seems to have taken over and is definitely far too big for his britches. On Valentines he totally ruined our evening from the onset telling us we must "clear the table" by 7:15 because he has a "full house then". While he hugged and kissed his favorites, telling them to “relax and enjoy” he was obnoxious and rude to the rest of us. Even made a rude comment about his tip. The “set menu” was limited and totally inflexible. Our food was late of course and that made the whole experience worse. Peter the owner obviously doesn't care because he did not return my phone calls. I will not go back.

Our date night choice...ALWAYS!

I discovered Thyme about 3 years ago with my then boyfriend who is my now husband and whenever we have a date night it always starts at THYME. The service, food & atmosphere is always fantastic! Our faves are the soupa de pesce, the special house salad, the gnocci groganzola and the lobster stuffed raviolli which is a special. Always a fave!!
