I'd heard a lot of great things about the...

I'd heard a lot of great things about the restaurant before going, so I decided it'd be a nice change for me and my girlfriend. We got there around 6:30 and got a table immediately, which was good. Sat down and ordered drinks which came very quickly; another plus. We ordered our meals (I had originally intended to go with the full souvlaki dinner, but the waitress told me it was 2.5 pounds of meat, so I went with the small) and they took about 20 minutes to arrive, which was a little disappointing. My girlfriend's chicken was slightly undercooked (pink in the middle) and my souvlaki was slightly burned. The food was only average, and I've had much better souvlaki. The service wasn't great as the waitress only came to talk to us once during the whole meal (right at the end). One thing I must say though, is that the portions are HUGE. Neither my girlfriend nor I could finish even half our meals, so it looks like that's what we'll be eating for lunch today. Overall, just a fairly average restaurant that tries to put itself on the map by serving huge portions. 7/10

We had been there before, with medicore results, but blamed it on a big dinner rush - and decided to give it one last try. That was a mistake we will not be making again. For whatever reason, very large parties requiring the moving of tables and chairs into one always occurs near us. In most cases, large parties get preferential treatment as the server smells the large gratuity. That means you will probably be ignored. After being seated, we were ignored for several minutes. We finally place our orders, and waited about 30 minutes for our entrees. My sandwich was a falling apart mess, and had no mustard even though I asked for it. The slouvaki platter was ice cold. When we got tired of waiting for the waitress to ask for mustard - and water - I got up and spoke to the manager, then returned to our table. Ten minutes later, she came by. By that time we just asked her to pack our food to go and left. All the manager could do on our way out was to say "please give us another chance." Had I not been so polite, I would have told him "please give us our $35 back." But as a small measure of just desserts, the large party seated near us were also in the early stages of lodging a complaint with the manager about being ignored.

Very large portions, friendly service, better...

Very large portions, friendly service, better than average quality, I eat here maybe a dozen times a year and do take out on their deli sandwiches another dozen times, not bad since it's on the other side of the city from me. Be prepared to wait for a table on ANY day during the lunch and dinner hours. I would recommend to anyone, my score may seem a little low compared to others but I am a very hard marker and besides, the higher their score the harder it will be for me to get in.
