The appetizers were very unique and were presented and tasted great!! My wife loved her asiago chicken and my salmon was the best I ever had and fantastic value!! I hear they have another location on Richmond St across the Grand Theatre which is just as spectacular and are definately will be dining there!!
Server was too accommodating to the point of intrusion in a private conversation. The water glasses were attended to, but rather too often. Sandwich was made to order on foccacia and quite tasty. Presentation was very weak -- sandwich on a plate with a pickle.
The appetizer lamb is 4 pieces of rack of lamb surrounded by garnish of purple and green lettuce. Absolutely fantastic, I would go back just for that. And forget appetizer, that's lunch - good sized portions, add a soup or salad and makes for a cheap lunch even though is is $12.99.
The caesar salad was bland, little or no garlic flavour even though I asked for extra garlic... was basically plain romaine with some cream sauce.
A nice touch, they added a sliced chicken breast to the salad for an extra $2.99 even though that is not offered (chicken caesar salad) on the menu.
Service was excellent.
The best seats are at the front at the window overlooking the magnolia tree, or in the winter perhaps near the fire where they cook the pizzas (next on my list of must try).
I really, really want to love this restaurant... I find the atmosphere to be cozy and nice and the service great. I think the quality isn't there for the price at dinner. At lunch I find it a good value for the money. With a little more fancy seasoning and some more unique items it could bereally good....a little bland for me.
