For Regulars Only

We stopped into this spot in our neighbourhood for a bite and a beer one weeknight. Place was pretty quiet when we arrived, but soon flooded with regulars for a poker night. Service was done by one bartender/waitress who was nice enough but had little knowledge of how to serve. Food was greasy, obviously all prepackaged frozen portion controlled. Beer glasses dirty, the whole place had little attention to any welcoming touches, but the Coors Light and poker packs em in so why bother.

Horrible food and the place is dirty. I peeked in the kitchen and could not believe what I saw. Bathroom had no soap and paper towels were sitting and a wet counter. If your looking for a place to be depressed and disgusted than go to KUBBYS.

A neighbourhood bad and grill with a large local following. Small and cosy, with booths, tables and seats at the bar. Sports oriented. Staff have been friendly on my visits, while providing the necessary service to make an enjoyable visit. I had wings, jalapeno poppers and cheese sticks, with pitchers of Mill Street Stock Ale. It was pretty typical pub grub stuff but it was flavourful and served with a smile. Prices were fair in terms of beer and food. Not much else to say really. A typical local stopover with pub grub and beer, with TV's to watch sporting events.

A friend and I went in for a beer late at night. We are pretty conservative people, and I have to tell you the people/owner/staff at this bar made a great night. They were engaging and friendly. No complaints at all.

I lived across the street for 6 months and went...

I lived across the street for 6 months and went to Kubby's quite a few times...but only because it was so close. It's just your standard neighborhood pub. If you are looking for a simple burger and beer and some sports on TV then this places does the job.
