Very attentive to detail. Computer came back in full working order and better! Very resonably priced. They even helped in the past with another monitor that required a basic check (why monitor will not stay on). No charge as they only plugged it in and was able to diagnose at that moment. We knew the monitor was toast at that moment. (I thought computer was toast). It was none repairable. Great people to do business with. Will keep coming back...but hopefully I don't need to. (Smile).
They were able to recover the data off of my laptop that died after a franchise electronics store said they weren't able to do so. They even had to order in parts to do it for me. Giving 4 starts not 5 because they unfortunately were not able to replace my motherboard meaning I had to back to the franchise electronics store. Also I called to ask a question about my data recovery, because some data from a partitioned hard-drive was missing, but they never called me back with an answer.
I brought a laptop to their shop that was dropped and was severly broken. This laptop had all the pictures of our babies and kids when they were very little. These were picturess that are unreplaceable. The tech at their shop told me that there was a chance that the hard drive containing my pictures may have been damaged and that they would test it and see if they could get my pictures and videos off it. The diagnostic failed and the owner told me they would have to do data rrecovery on the drive to attempt to get my stuff. I was so worried that we had lost all of our pictures but the next day I got a call from them stating that overnight they were able to recover approximatly 99% of my files. They copied the recovered files to a backup drive which they let me look throght to see if it had what i wanted. I was so happy!!! They got ALL of my photos and videos and even my documents and my MP3 collection! I dont know what I would have done if they couldnt get them back but I do know these guys are awesome. I bought a new laptop from them after that, They set it up for free unlike Staples that wanted over 100 dollars more for that. They even copied my recovered photos onto it for me so I had a second copy of them all. I am very grateful that their shop is in lindsay and I went there. Manny
I took a computer there for my partner last week to have the screen repaired. They informed me at the time that they would have to order in a screen that would be here Monday, and repair should be complete by Tuesday. I informed my partner of this. When Wednesday rolled around, and we hadn't heard anything, I called and was told that the repair would be at least another week. I expressed that we would've appreciated a call to inform us of this, as this is a business computer. I informed the woman that this was not good business practice. The next day, the technician, Paul, called my partner and said that he is cancelling our order because of the rude message I left for him. ??? I didn't leave a message, I spoke on the phone to the woman there, and did indeed express my frustration, but at no time was I rude or inappropriate. I went and picked up our computer, and the woman was there, and I asked her what is this all about? She said that the reason our service is cancelled, is that they couldn't get the part! I asked her about this "message" and she said "well you were upset". I said of course I was upset, because I was promised service, and the service didn't happen. And I asked her if ever I was rude or inappropriate,, and she said, "well no". I got our computer, and my deposit refunded and left. I told my partner of this, and he called Paul back and asked him what message he was talking about. Paul hymmed and hawed then said that the phone conversation was recorded!!!! That's illegal! And even if it were, I know I was never rude as they try to say I was, so I'd love to hear this so called recording. Then Paul said that he "Only does business with nice people"!!!! and that I was "too demanding". Please, stay away from these people, as they are dishonest. I'm very upset that anyone said this about me. If I'm upset with how a business treats me, it is only fair that I express my concerns to them.
Two seperate times in fact. First tried to get a hard drive through this business, waited months and the one that finally came in was Sata not IDE, took it back and got money replaced. Laptop company finally came through with new hard drive since the laptop was less then a year old when it went. Took laptop in for repair to the hinge, lost the hard drive. It had a new 160 gig with XP that had been in there maybe a month max. from the company and when it returned after months at this shop it was a 60 gig. No return of the original hard drive to return to the company for a new one and had to wait nearly a week to be told the hard drive hadn't worked when he checked so he had replaced it with a used one ... nothing on the repair order about this and the shop keeper had no idea what I was talking about when I contacted her to ask why it had Vista, wasn't a 160 gig hard drive or why the screws were missing from the back. I am very disappointed, I had higher respect than this for them and had spend a lot of money with what I had thought was a trusted place.
