you wanna read a script for seinfeld...keep reading....ill will try to keep statements brief....stood at door for a while with no staff visable....were sat in dining room directly next to the only other couple in the entire restauart...were immediately told not to order and of the breads because they didnt have any...the couple next to us tried to order dinner and, after choice after choice, they were told that they dont have that today....they left to go elsewhere...our order was taken but unfortunately we were only allowed to order 1 appetizer because that was all they had...while waiting for food a beverage would have been nice but none was offered and the waiter was no where to be found...another family was sat near us and they waited patiently for about 15 minutes before getting theie coats back on stating that it would have been nice to at least been given some water (and laughing)...my first chair was covered in sugar and stains, and my second chair had to be exchanged for a third after the waiter proceeded to pour my dinner on my lap...clean up was non existant....he put an unfolded napkin of the part of the mess on the table...a few times he said he was giving us something complimentary but when we got the bill i asked and apparently it was my pop refill that was the freebee....isnt that pretty much standard these days....well anyways, i did get $1.50 for free...food was overpriced....2 boats of sauce and meat for $24 and then we were charged $6.50 for a plate of rice because there bread that came with it was unavailable. Upon leaving we realized that the take out section is what was causing him to be so unavailable....there were about 7 people sitting around waiting, all looking a little troubled, all with a little plate of food in their hands (to try to keep them calm, im sure)....another episode in the works im sure. The seinfeld comparison is because when we were leaving, one of the take out customers said she felt like she was in one and we agreed....if you go, bring a camcorder....you may be able to sell it as a pilot for the next big comedy show. lol
well i have just moved from toronto. i dint find the food anywhere near that but was ok.i am realy missing good indian food in kingston.
We visited the uptown Princess location after happily frequenting the downtown location many times. The service was terrific and the butter chicken is the best I've ever had - this being significant after traveling through India and across the globe. A must try! Whether you do for a meal downtown or uptown you won't be disppointed.
It's pretty apparent, that the clown who is consistently giving this food a "1" is the same person - at least try to switch up your writing and spelling skills when posting under different names, so it's not so glaringly obvious what you're doing. Anyway....the food here is VERY good. The samosa's are to die for! Don't pay attention to the fraudulent claims of bad food by the one poster who is posing as others to bring the restaurant rating down. Shame on you.
we dint like the food at all.too sweet for our taste.i am a diebetic patient and dint know naan have sugar in it and so does butter ckn.soup was not up to any good standard and vindaloo had no taste execept red chillies.well someone recomended this place to us but we will not recomend it to anyone.
