The Himalya Restaurant invites you to their dining room. Explore a menu offering curry, priced at 11$ to 25$. They are open late all week. You can get there by car. Payments by MasterCard, American Express and Visa are accepted.
The food is not good at all. It’s tasteless and stale. I ordered dal makhani and it was the worst. Vegetable jalferezi was nothing like it.. only tasted of peppers and potato. Overall food is nothing like authentic Indian food. It’s bland and tasteless. Even when I mentioned medium spicy, it was simply tasteless.. daal was undercooked not even close to dal makhani
I try to go once a week. I am just a dumb white guy, and I don't know what to call all the stuff they put on the thali plate, but it is always delicious and hot! The ladies working there are so friendly. There is no décor or atmosphere, but most fast food burger joints are worse really. I just don't know if we are to tip there. The Indian sweets are also great. I try different colours every time.
I absolutely love this place. I'm a huge fan of Indian cuisine, and this place makes some of the best I've ever had. The restaurant itself is small, enough seating for 16-20 persons. All their dishes are completely vegetarian. I normally order the thali, its a healthy and delicious variety dish of whatever is fresh and on the stove...I've tried almost everything on the menu and have *never* been disappointed. If you've got a sweet tooth, they also have a HUGE assortment of handmade, traditional indian 'sweets'
golub jaman, julabi, bahrfi etc. You'll be hard pressed to find another restaurant hat even matches the quality of Himalya. The staff are very kind, happy, and helpful people. 10/10 Highly reccommended!!!
There is one place in Ontario worth visiting again and again if you like Indian vegetarian food.
One word to describe the place is excellent.
Tasty, fresh, inexpensive are some other words
that comes to my mind when I think of Haimalya restaurant.
I have visited this place only five hundred times. I will go there again soon.
