I really enjoy this restaurant and have been there many times since it opened several years ago. The service in the first year was a bit slow, but now it is very attentive. The pace of the meal is not rushed, so if you are in a big hurry, save it for another evening. Staff is friendly and accomodating and the manager has been by to check on our dinner on several visits. The food is wonderful and I recommend this restaurant highly.
Great food! The atmosphere in this quaint restaurant is very relaxed and can be romantic when not busy. The service and hospitaility was amazing. They stayed open for 30 minutes past their closing time allowing me and my guest to fully enjoy our meal without feeling rushed. Thanks for the patience Tandoori Grill!
Me and my girlfriend popped in for a nice meal after work. It was a slow wednesday night, and our waitress was obviously very new (and young).
The service was very poor, which I was willing to forgive on account of her being new at this, but the owner made no attempt to compensate for this.
When ordering our meal, we were told that our orders came with naan bread or rice. Based on the prices on the menu, this seemed fair.
When our food came, the naan bread and rice were necessary to eat the dishes (which were more like a sauce than a meal). That said, the food was absoloutely great.
But when the bill came, we were charged for both the rice and the naan. When I questioned the owner about this, he told me that they weren't included and that his waitress had made a mistake, and then he walked away obviously expecting us to pay for his employee's mistake.
Because we'd ordered according to how much money was in my wallet, I actually had to go out for more money. Upon returning I informed the owner that I would never return, and that as the owner he had a responsibility to make up for the mistakes made by his employees. He made no apology, and acted like I was being ridiculous.
I'll never eat there again, which is a shame because the food would have been worth driving from Guelph to Fergus.
