absolutely horrible, from the food to the floors to the service and the girl blowing her nose and not washing her hands.......everything was disgusting. she couldn't even nicely give us our ice tea, just dropped in on the corner of the table and walked away. the people working there had zero personalities, my burger was so awful, i had 3 bites and threw it out...can't even explain what the horrible taste was !!! never ever will i go back there not even for ice cream.........at least baskin robbins is clean and the people behind the counter have great personalities............my suggestion......stay away from this place !!!
I was astonished to see this restaurant out of my childhood! We would go there in the 50's for foot long hotdogs. I had no idea it was still there and recognizable. Our lunch was good...LOVED the old diner atmosphere. Sure, it's not glossy, but the fries were great and so were hotdog and the shake. It was like stepping into the past with all the memorabilia and the rifle range game bald of paint. I bet my dad's business card is there somewhere. Will visit again to try to spot it....
i LOVE this place! i love the service i get, and i love the onion rings. i love the shakes i love everything i go once a week since i work in burlington.
Where to start. I understand this place is old, but a paint job of the outside would go a long way. And it wouldn't hurt if the staff would bring the mop out and clean the floors during the day. The food was nothing to write home about. The hot dog was soggy, and no taste. The chili fries were your basic canned chili poured over some luke warm fries. I'm thinking this place is only around because the teen crowd use it as a hang out. Won't be coming here again.
I had a huge craving for fries today and after cohorsing my boyfriend into driving around looking for a chip truck to no avail (Seriously? No chip trucks in Burlington?), we decided to give Easterbrook's a try. The facade is plagued with chipped paint, rough signage and misplaced shingles, which only served to add to the appeal of greasey-spoon roadside fare I was expecting. One look at the menu confimed these suspicions. Listing the usual burgers and fries alongside an extensive menu of hot dogs with weird and wonderful toppings, Easterbrooks served to satisfy my desire for no frills diner food. My boyfriend, not easily wowed, declared it his new favourite restaurant. Friendly service, reasonable prices, comfortable atmosphere and great food. It's no frills, down home goodness for those who are okay with eating off of paper plates. Check it out for the experience alone (and bring cash, they don't take credit or debit).
I appreciated the fact the restaurant is probably still operating in it's original facilities. I was overwhelmed at the variety of hot dogs you could choose from but selected 2 kinds to sample and enjoyed lunch with my uncle. Place is great if your looking for a good quick bite.
With no competition, Easterbrooks is easily the best hot dog place in town. Chances are, if you want it on your hot dog, you can have it. I had mayo, ketchup, onions, pickles and bacon on mine and it was great, as always. The fries are a mixed bag.... they're shoestring fries, but taste a bit bland. They're not bad, just not great. They do however, give you quite a lot of them for the price. Speaking of which, for around $7.50 after tax you can get a very filling meal that doesn't make you feel sick like a lot of fast food chains. The staff are friendly enough, but don't seem too interested in portraying a fun or comfortable environment. I have eaten here at least 3 or 4 times and every time it's been quite good. My wife also has the ice cream once in a while which she says is fantastic.
The lowest quality Hot Dog I have ever eaten. I was not sure if it was even meat, mushy and bland. French fry portion was very small for the price they charge. Dirty tables and filthy bathrooms.
My god Easterbrooks is amazing. Their poutines are simply magical. The service was very well, people working were funny and welcoming. I would go there every day... well I pretty much do.
What happened to this place? Apparently, at one time it had great hot dogs, but on our 2006 visit, the quality was awful. Mushy, really low-quality hot dogs with less than fresh buns. They've obviously made a decision to go with cheaper materials to save some money. They were some pretty unpleasant hot dogs...
Great old style roadside hotdog joint. Great selection of hot dogs and reasonable prices. Real ice cream milkshakes to boot.
This resturant is one of the nice I have ever seen in my life. The staff at Easter Brooks are one of a kind and each have amazing customer service.
Small little place. Huge Selection of HotDogs!!! Good Food, Not a bad menu, Good prices. Kinda wish the place was alittle bigger.
Their food is great, real ice cream!! Not Milk goop.. Huge selection of hotdogs, burgers, salads.. everything!
Food was ok. Customer service was lousy. The employees acted like as if they're doing you a favour. I wouldn't go back.
