Dial A Tire

If you value your time, don't come here. I made an appointment 3 weeks in advance and they didn't even bother to order the materials required. Showed up to the appointment and they said they don't order them because they dont know if people will show. Then why make the appointment for me and say you would order materials only to have me show up and you not be prepared? In addition, the person working got agitated that I would question this practice and was incredibly rude, aggressive even.

Great service

My car recently started making a grinding noise when driving that upon visual inspection had no immediate cause. Figuring that it would have to be sent to a garage for repairs, a friend suggested Dial A Tire. I had never used them before but decided to go anyway. The morning after the noise, I called and was told the car could go in that afternoon. Upon arriving there, was given an estimate for repair that was actually reasonably priced and a bit below others I had gone too before. So far, so good. The car was kept overnight and the next morning, I got the call that it was ready to go. Turns out the actual repair (wheel bearing and related) cost less than the estimate given previously. That can't be complained about. I actually thought there may have been an error with the invoice, but no. So the problem was resolved quickly for a reasonable price and the service was great. Which is more than can be said for some other places. I would definitely go here again in the future

Very Disappointed in Service part one

After using Dial a tire for normal tire changing services I decided to take my car there for it's MVI. Due to some brake problems (which I wholly expected) my car did not pass the MVI. Quoted what I considered a reasonable price I proceeded to have my car towed back to have work done at their shop. It has been one month now. It did take me a while to find a replacement gas tank because mine was rusted out, and the new part from a dealership was $700! So after the new brake parts were on, the shop had to wait for the gas tank to be mailed to them, as it was not available in Nova Scotia. sitting in their lot for 2 weeks in the rain caused my brakes to fully seize up (all 4) and when the gas tank arrived, they were unable to get the car moving. That was 3 weeks ago. Just a few days ago i was informed t hey had gotten the brakes unseized, finally. The gas tank (which i very carefully ordered) did not quite fit, but because it was the same car/model, (but different production times) they said no problem, they put it on and I could have the car back shortly. I have called every day since then, and gotten one excuse after another. the gas they had in storage from my original tank was bad, so they replaced it. then the gas tank didn't QUITE fit and they had to build a piece for it. then the gas tank wasn't actually attached right and now they have to build something else to hold it in. Every time I have called I get 'yes, it will be ready soon, just as soon as they fix this new problem'. I have lost all confidence with Dial a Tire.
