I have just rescued a Cat. Did a health check with Dr. Childs. My Cat's teeth were in bad shape and there were stones in her bladder. Scheduled for surgery and everything went fine.
Dr. Child and her staff are caring and kind. I would recommend this office to anyone for excellent care for their pets.
Dr. Childs is an outstanding Vet. She cares deeply, she listens, she's an amazing diagnostician - so things that that other Vets might miss, she doesn't, which means our pets get the best possible care. The clinic does not try to up-sell, they offer diagnostic and treatment options that are in the best interests of keeping our pets as healthy and happy as possible. They do not overcharge - their fee structures are in-line with other quality Vet Clinics. I highly recommend this Clinic.
This clinic is only interested in separating you from your money. Will try to sell you all kinds of foods and procedures that your pet does not need and is not the reason you went to see them. My pet with kidney disease was given sedation without my knowledge or consent for absolutely no reason and days later is still suffering the effects. Avoid.

I have used the Westend Veterinary Clinic for over 12 years and have taken my dog there since she was a pup. The service and professional conduct in this clinic had substantially deteriorated over the past years and as a result of the most recent event have taken my dog to another clinic.

Unfortunately, we had to use the vets as a matter of some urgency with our new puppy, Harry. They were amazing, they fitted us in quickly for urgent care, Helene and her support staff took wonderful care of our 16 week old pup and reassured his very worried owners. Happy to report that Harry is starting to return to his old self.
Dr. Childs and her staff are amazing. They are friendly, professional, and obviously genuinely love animals. I am always greeted warmly and seen promptly. Dr. Childs remembers details from past visits and always seems excited to see my two cats. The fees are reasonable and they always follow up after even a minor appointment. I highly recommend.
Best vet I've been too !! Caring understanding and treat you and your pet like family. You can tell they are Animal lovers and very genuine. I felt comfortable there and non rushed . I felt my dog was completely safe in their arms .
