Anyone who knows anything about tattoos and piercings, or is into that scene at all, knows very well that Dragon FX has one of the worst reputations in Edmonton. The have inexperienced employees and their work is of consistently bad quality.
Two of my friends had tattoos done here and they are terrible. I have had many piercings done before, but the two I had done at Dragon FX had to be removed. I'm not sure if this was due to poor technique or cheap jewelry, probably both. Dragon FX does not use the best method for microdermal implants; better and more efficient methods have become the standard everywhere else.
Being the impulsive person that I am, I have twice gone to Dragon FX to have a tattoo done. Both times this was a split second decision and I was fully aware of Dragon FX's horrible reputation. Both tattoos were very simple designs, almost impossible to screw up. I figured even Dragon FX could get them right. The first one came out terrible, and I only went back a second time because I thought the design could not be any more simplistic, no one could mess this one up. Needless to say I now have two awful tattoos for the rest of my life.
Do not listen to the other reviews on this site; those people clearly do not know anything about tattoos. These uninformed people only consider Dragon FX a good shop because of its location in West Edmonton Mall. This location has allowed the shop to become well known to those who do not follow the local tattoo scene, and are not exposed to real tattoo shops. These customers seem happy, but it is only because they do not know any better.
I am not only speaking from mine and my friends personal experiences. This shop has an awful reputation; they are known for the terrible work they do. Do not ever, under any circumstance, subject yourself to the horrors at Dragon FX, this will only leave you scarred for life. This is exactly the kind of shop you want to avoid at all costs.
