Knowing when to change jobs is an important life skill, and there are a number of reasons why you should change jobs. Learn when it might be time.
If you’re feeling constantly stressed out at work, are uninspired, being mistreated, or a number of other reasons, it may be time to move on to the next opportunity.
Here’s a short list of five signs it might be the right time to change jobs.
Stress is a part of all (or most) jobs, but you shouldn’t be so stressed out all the time. Stress should be balanced out with passion and moments of satisfaction at work – otherwise what’s the point of it all?
Nobody should have to tolerate ill treatment at the workplace. If your boss is abusive, or your co-workers bully you, a paycheque is simply not worth it.
You should wake up in the morning excited to go to work. Sure, when it’s 6:30 a.m. and your alarm goes off, “excitement” may not exactly be the emotion you’re feeling, but you should still be glad to do the work you do every day.
If you feel like you’ve climbed as high as you can in your current company, it’s time to make a change.
Just because you’re being underpaid at your current company, doesn’t mean another one won't pay you more.
