I don't think you can go wrong with that place. I went there for my birthday, best service I had and how great to enjoy the melody of the piano in the background. The filet mignon was great and I can't wait to try the oysters and hopefully I get lucky enought to sit on the roof top patio during summer! Read more

I had been recommended to go to Stephos for the longest time and each time we tried having food the line up was long so we decided to go back later. A friend of mine recommended me to go between 1-5pm so I didn’t have to wait in the line up. I must say that I had never had such great service and delicious Souvlaki in Vancouver. We tried the Lamp Chops, the Calamari Dinner, Humus and the Lamp Souvlaki amongst the 4 of us. The price is great and the food really fantastic. I recommend this place to everyone and trust me it’s worth a wait in the line up to try this place. Read more

How much do I like this restaurant? My wife and I had our post-wedding celebration here with about 20 of our closest friends and family. We knew this would be a great choise as we wanted a restaurant that wasn't overly expensive, had a great staff and of course a great menu. And Zefferelli's has all of the above. Besides the complimentary bread and tomato dipping sauce, my favorite aspect of this restaurant is the food preparation. A lot of italian restaurants simply boil the pasta and then add the sauce. Zefferelli's actually uses a wok to fry the pasta after it has been boiled to give it a better texture and taste. It doesn't sound like much but it really helps. And for a restaurant that is as well kept and in such a prime location (Robson Street) it is extremely affordable. It's a great place to take a date or to take your picky out-of-town guests. As you wander along Robson Street this is a popular Japanese restaurant that has been here for awhile. Reservations highly recommended. The assorted tempera was excellent, nicely battered, and we tried various appetizers such as gomae, liver, fried fish, clam soup, edaname, tofu, Saba shiroyaki, salmon belly. The Greek restaurant Stepho's, which is just down the street, is much more popular than Taki's, but in my opinion Taki's is far superior. I know Stepho's is really cheap and they give you a ton of food but Taki's is by no means expensive and the quality of the food is much better. Take my advice and avoid the long lines at Stepho's for a seat at Taki's. Read more
