This is a great resort. I have stayed here multiple times over the years for both work and personal. The log cabins are cute and remote which makes it very relaxing. The property is very kid friendly, but also caters to adults through the Grotto. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a weekend away. It was a totally decent place, everyone was really friendly. We were travelling (moving) with cats and I smuggled my kitties in and they kind of turned a blind eye. Besides that everything was clean and professional. You always know what to expect with this chain - reasonable price, clean, everything works. Style of decor wasn't really my cup of tea but it's an old house and it suits its purpose. I must say it was quite cozy. Server was a little frumpy but efficient and attentive. That must sound so shallow, but I want to be honest. She didn't make suggestions, which is something I adore when dining out. My guest and I dine out all the time, so we were able to navigate the menu with ease anyway. Reading the menu, everything sounded delicious. We decided on the seafood trio appy in which all the seafood was cooked just right. Scallop seared only on one side and tender. These folks know how to do it right. I had the stuffed chicken and my guest had the tuna. I was surprised at how large the portions were. I could not finish my meal, it was huge, rich and soooo good. My guest had the tuna which was slightly overcooked, though we did not specify a temperature (we like it rare), but nonetheless very tasty. We managed to save room for dessert and shared a dessert sampler. Rich chocolate treats and a small creme brulee. Fabulous. I will definitely go back for the food and have no quams about telling friends to try it out. Read more

If there is a heaven, I hope to God Mon Petit Choux is the caterer. I'm pretty sure I could easily live out the rest of my natural life at a table in the corner - and easily slip into the next life completely satisfied. Why is it so divine, you ask? Well, for starters it's a French bakery and that's just about all you need to know. These people can do things with pastries that will make you forget you ever knew of the word diet - seriously look at the pictures! I started with the quiche, moved onto this divine pizza pastry, tried just about all of my friends pastries and finished off with a cappuccino. Then I went back to my hotel room and slept off the carb sins. I did not repent, nor do I ever plan to. One small word of warning for people with allergies though. The kitchen is not separate from the dining room and the air is filled with flour and sugar. Within 15 min of being inside my eyes were itchy and watering - but my companions who don't have allergies were fine. Oh, and we smelled like pastries for the rest of the day - which isn't necessarily a bad thing :-) Read more
