Toronto eateries taking part in Restaurants for change

Restaurants for Change is a charity event that sees some of the country’s best restaurants donate a portion of their earnings to support local food programs. Toronto is getting in on the action this year with more than 30 participating restaurants. PLANTA

Vegans who want to donate to the cause should check out Planta. The restaurant’s menu is completely plant based and includes the famous Planta Burger. Planta’s food is so good, that meat-eaters have been flocking to the Yorkville location, and they now have a restaurant dedicated to the plant-based burgers on Temperance.

Maple Leaf Tavern

This east-end restaurant opened in 2016 and has been packed ever since. October 18 is the best time to enjoy the elevated pub food.
