Best Restaurants for Fathers Day in Toronto

Your Dad certainly doesn’t need another tie, fishing rod or set of BBQ utensils. So this year, take him out for dinner and spend some quality time together. Because all of our fathers are so unique, I’ve selected a wide range of places - and cuisines - to choose from. I hope this helps make your Father’s Day a wonderful and memorable one.

Rodeo Brazilian Steakhouse Rodizio

1
95 Danforth Ave, Toronto, ON M4K 1N2

The first Brazilian steakhouse rodizio in Ontario is a fantastic option to take Dad for a Father’s Day celebration dinner. The combination of meat and buffet options and the fact that it’s a fixed price menu means he can go as crazy as he wants. With a selection of Picahna AAA Beef, pork, lamb, chicken, salmon and roasted pineapple, side dishes (vegetables, potatoes, rice, beans, fried bananas, a fresh casava meal called "farofa") and a self-serve salad and appetizer buffet, there’s no doubt this will be a Father’s Day to remember.

Nang Saigon

2
450 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M5S 1X8

If your Dad doesn’t like fancy new restaurants and prefers something older, with foods he recognizes (what is this “quinoa” you speak of?), Country Style Hungarian is the perfect choice. Not only will the red and white-checkered tablecloths put him at ease, a bowl of their beef goulash or signature schnitzel dinners (veal or chicken) will fill him up in a way that no salmon dinner with brown rice could. It might not be the healthiest option, but since when was Dad all about kale and goji berries anyway?

La Palette Restaurant

3
492 Queen St W, Toronto, ON M5V 2B3

French food is so celebratory, and thus, La Palette is a great choice for Papa this year. With hearty selections such as coarse duck liver pate en croute, escargots with foraged mushrooms, and cuisses de grenouille (3 pairs of fried frog legs), you can give your Dad an authentic French experience without having to purchase plane tickets.

One of the best ways to spend a summer evening is to catch a show.
