Cougar Night 2025! 💙🐾

Last night we got to celebrate the fantastic achievements of our athletes, teams, coaches, and staff. Congratulations to all of our award winners and thank you to everyone who helped make this another unforgettable Cougars season!

Ethan Keen (@ethan.keen) is the recipient of the 2024-25 Male Brian Fleming Award, presented by Calgary Booster Club (@calgaryboosterclub)! 🏆

This award is presented to individuals who embody all facets of a Mount Royal student-athlete. This combines athletics, academics, leadership, and community service.

Ethan had an incredible season including:
- Canada West Second Team All-Star
- 2 assists
- Coaching local youth soccer
- Academic All-Canadian

Jamie Lalor (@jamie.lalor) is the recipient of the 2024-25 Female Brian Fleming Award, presented by Calgary Booster Club (@calgaryboosterclub)! 🏆

This award is presented to individuals who embody all facets of a Mount Royal student-athlete. This combines athletics, academics, leadership, and community service.

Jamie had an incredible season including:
- Becoming @mruwbasketball all-time assists leader
- 17 games played
- 5.4 points per game
- 3.9 rebounds per game
- 3.9 Assists per game
- Over 100 hours of community service
- Academic All-Canadian
- All while acting as the Cougars Athlete Board president

Clay Hanus (@clayhanus58) is this years Al Bohonus Male Athlete of the Year presented by EFW Radiology (@efwradiology)! 🏆

Clay had a season for the ages being the first player in U SPORTS Men’s Hockey history to win Defenceman of the Year and Player of the Year in the same season. With 12 goals and 31 assists for 43 points, Clay lead the Canada West in scoring racking up an unrivaled personal accolades list and leading @mrumhockey to their first ever Canada West Finals and National Championship appearance.
