It all started in 2011 for Annick and Simon Leveille, owners and managers of Barle Vestiaire. Since Simon is passionate about beer and Annick is all about catering and service, the couple took time to reflect, plan and put together their project in just under two years. But once in motion and the location found, it only took a couple of months to complete the renovations and transform the spot into a warm and friendly space. You’d never know the place was once a clothing store.
The idea was simple: to open a bar that reflected their relaxed philosophy and that served micro-brewery beers in a comfy space with wide bench seating and hooks on the wall to hang coats and bags. Mission accomplished, as the decor and atmosphere of the bar and the wide selection of beers reflects exactly what Annick and Simon were aiming for.
Bar le Vestiaire is located at the Plaza St. Hubert shopping strip, between Beaubien and St. Zotique, with easy to access by the Beaubien metro and bus and is worth the trip to experience and discover many unique Quebec beers.
Do you like quiz nights, karaoke and good beer? Bingo! Here, there’s no less than 16 beers on tap including the Blonde du vestiaire (Alchimiste), the Déesse nocturne (Dieu du ciel), the Dominus Vobiscum Blanche (Charlevoix Brewery) and the Déserteuse (Le Trèfle noir).
Le Vestiaire is a contemporary micro-brewery with a warm atmosphere that offers Quebec craft beers and a bistro-style menu in addition to karaoke Thursdays, showing the Montreal Canadiens games and its quiz night. Informative and exciting, its Monday evening's themes go from the culture of sports to music and politics. Various prizes are up for grabs. Fun and laughter are promised and expected.
