It's takes place in November 1980 in Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, the first meeting of a diverse group of women from eastern Quebec. Women feel a strong urge to meet, to exchange, to break their isolation, to create these real solidarity. In 1982, we are witnessing the creation of the Coordinating Committee for the women's groups in eastern Quebec but incorporate it officially. The table will be a core of effective solidarity among grassroots women's groups in eastern Quebec, enable the exchange of information and training and provide a compressive force to assert denunciations and demands common to defend the rights and interests of women in what was then the Greater Lower St. Lawrence / Gaspesie-Iles.more...See more text
