Located just off highway 7, Sushi On 7 is a family-friendly restaurant that serves up sushi and other Japanese dishes. They offer catering and take out as well as having a full buffet for eating in. They're open late too.

Love their food!! Good quality food and and always in the right portion. Of course, you would need to specify how much of each order of food your would like so you can try a variety of food there. They rearely missed an order!
Their menu has been updated and added some new choices which is great!!
Food and dessert choices are ample, we were definitely satisfied after each single visit!
I decided to try this place out because I had seen some good reviews. This was by far the worst all you can eat sushi place I'd ever been to. The food doesn't taste fresh, there was a bad fishy taste and when you eat sushi you shouldn't be tasting that.
I don't understand why people like this restaurant for all you can eat there are many other places in the Markham that are worth your money and have excellent food this is NOT one of them.
9 years of going to Sushi on 7. I have NEVER had good service! They walk right past you, don't even look at you when you call out and say "excuse me". They are only friendly to parties of 6 and forget it if you are Canadian etc., . I do like their food very much and it is always fresh, but I've stopped going there because we saw 2 cockroaches walking across the wood backs of the booths!! The washrooms are SO disgusting and there is dust all over the fake flowers they adorn their restaurant with. Such a shame.
I found that the service here was very disappointing. The rolls had alot more rice than fish (salmon, tuna) and the price was alittle more than other all you can eat restaurants. This was one of the first AYCE sush restaurants however over the years, their reputation has gone downhill.
Went there a handful of times, the last being the civic holiday. It was packed in the little restaurant with others waiting to be serviced. One of the staff told me that it would be approx. a 20minute wait but it ended up being a 45 minute wait. When I usually go during lunch or an early dinner then waiting time is approx. 25-30min but the wait is definitely worth it. As soon as I had a table, I ordered and my food was quickly served. They did not miss any orders and the quality is up there for an AYCE restaurant and considering how busy they were. I realized that when you order in Cantonese, the waiters are more friendly towards me whereas when I come with friends and order in English some of the staff don't greet me with smiles and good service. All in all, one of my favourite AYCE places and the price isn't that bad either.
Sushi on 7 has always been a family favourite. We've been going there for over 5 years!! Why? Because the sashimi is always fresh. We always order the spider roll and seafood soup (our all-time favourite). The tempura, sushi, grilled appetizers are good as well, and maintain their quality each time, which keeps us coming back enough. The only thing that I can complain is that it is ALWAYS packed there. And now, they've added even more tables into the original space, making the atmosphere worse than before. But it's been opened this long with many customers for a reason. My advice is to book and reserve a table beforehand.

This is my favourite sushi place. I've been going for years, ever since it opened. I found it while having my Mitsubishi serviced across the street. Since then, through me, I have taken huge groups of over twenty people (not recommended!) and my entire extended family and all their friends and friends of friends have been.
Karen used to be our usual server but I haven't seen her around lately. The service I will say may suffer from typical AYCE issues, such as forgotten orders, dupliate orders and feeling rushed to leave.
However, the food here is great. The sashimi is fresh and i LOVE their seaweed salad. Their seasoning/dressing on it is slightly pungent, which i love and cannot find the same anywhere, though many places offer seaweed salad. We also always order their shrimp tempurar which is done nicely. I've found their spider rolls are getting too big with too much rice nowadays, though i am still partial to spider rolls. I haven't really tried anything i didn't like there yet.

The service was good at this place. We received the food pretty quickly right after ordering. The sashimi was delicious! Maki rolls were ok; it was more rice than filling. The menu states a maximum of 1.5 hours for eating, but even though we had passed that time, and the restaurant was busy, they didn't ask us to leave, which was very nice of them. They let us eat ALL we could eat. The restaurant is small, but who cares, the service made up for it! Overall, this place was ok.

We went there for Buffet last week, the food were okay comparing to some other sushi place. The service wasn't so great.. the waitress and waiter need to be little more friendlier and add some smile on the face!!

I had lunch at this restaurant about 3 weeks ago, so my recollection of the experience is not as vivid, but overall, I think this sushi restaurant was good and the menu selections adequate. The food is not as salty as some of the other restaurants I've visited, which is a good thing, and the service is a notch better but not by a huge margin. For example, I reserved a table for two 20 minutes ahead of time and we were given one of those booth seats upon arrival that had a "Reserved" sign sitting on the table, which illustrates that this restaurant actually does makes an effort to do reservations, unlike some places that take your reservation but simply put you at the top of the list once you arrive and make you wait for the next table, which can sometimes take long.
I found their deep-fried ice cream very interesting. Basically, it's a scoop of ice cream that's coated with some deep-fried crumb that gives you a crunchy texture; it's kind of hard to describe but it's worth trying.
this place is the best sushi bar in the GTA, i go there almost every weekend for lunch, for people who havent tried it my favorite dish personally would have to be the crispy dragon roll.
Its somewhat of a trade off place. I had gone there for 1 year steady because the food is incredible. I eat alot of sushi and this places food quality is by far one of the best. The reason why I stopped going is because of getting less and less food until it came to a point where we would get Half rolls or 2 scallops. I stopped going.
Recently I thought Id take my girlfriend there HOPING things had changed. They hadnt. We were seated at a 2 X2 foot table while other couples were given two tables or booths. It took 15 minutes for anyone to take our order and it all came in one shot. Imagine an AYCE and sitting at a 2X2 table between 2 people.
The staff is horrible and does not recognize you. We tried calling waiters over several times and they walk right by. Also the place is tiny.
There you have it. For food its incredible. But the service will turn you off.

Most Japanese restaurants in the GTA are either ridiculously priced or not very good. Sushi on 7 has good Japanese food (for Toronto), and is very reasonable.
When we visited, the restaurant was extremely crowded. Thankfully, I always make reservations. Despite the large number of people, service was reasonably fast. Most of the food is very good and is of high quality, with some exceptions. The spring rolls are lackluster, and do not taste very authentic. The meat dumplings are downright terrible, and unworthy of consumption. I'm sure there are some other bad dishes, but those are the only two I have discovered so far.
If you're looking for reasonably priced Japanese food that also tastes good, Sushi on 7 is probably the place to go.
Well, for the price you are paying for all you can eat...it is the best food. For the past 5 yrs, I have tried many Sushi Restaurants around the area. They all are disappointing; in 10 visits; may be only 3 times you would got great food, or 8 times bad service. For the same price, Sushi on 7 on the other hand has been very constant. So far, I only had 1 bad experience with the service, not with the food.
