Lawrence LeVoir was a shy child growing up. His parents got divorced and he was mercilessly bullied in school.
“The worst part about the bullies was I wanted no part of them and I actually felt like I was superior to them, so they clocked in on that and tried to make my life hell because I didn't want to play their reindeer games,” he recalls.
Lawrence's only solace came from the dogs that his mother kept in her home.
“Dogs were my friends. They were the ones I could really count on growing up and I felt like they understood me. No matter what, dogs always got me through everything.”
