I live in the area and got to Sushi Rock quite often. The servers are ridiculously rude. and the fact that you can say something to them and they have no responses. Many of them can hardly speak let alone understand english.... The food is very good ... but the horrid service takes away from the whole experience. Thank god i only do take out any more.
First of all the service was good, the server was very attentive. The food portions were large and there is a lot of choice, but the quality of food was average at best; no flavour or originality. The sashimi was also frozen, and the spicy tuna that we ordered was not spicy. For a sushi house that is ranked 'one of the best in the city'; it does not live up to this claim. I have had much better at other places. Who makes these claims anyways??
It was my first time here, and it was faboulous. The Dragon on Fire was a warm sushi roll with salmon strips on top in a red sauce with shrimp tempura for the dragon head & tail. It's the best sushi I've ever had. I can't wait to go again, especially for the Dragon on Fire, YUM!!
as usual.... FOOD: was excellent as always SERVICE: terrible as always! The waitress' have no manners or class!!! VERY RUDE!!! VERYY!!! rolled eyes cant speak proper english and no proper face expression, no customer service what-so-ever, considering we had a large order of food, she could have at least TRIED to earn her TIP! We will NEVER eat INN AGAIN! This was a birthday gathering, they couldnt care less!!! VERY RUDE!!!
I love everything about this place! From the texture of their fish, to the crispiness of their tempura, right down to the crushed ice!
loooooooooooove the food, loove the service... its great
One of the best sushi places in Toronto. I always order the sushi made with brown rice, as per my eating conditions. I don't know many japanese places in Toronto that provide brown rice as an option. Food was full of flavour and fish is always fresh and generously portioned.
The best deal for sushi and cost. The sushi is actaully very good and the prices are reasonable. All combos come with soup and salad and a hungry sushi lover can eat there for under 15 bucks. All in all a really nice place to dine.
The shrimp roll was amazing, but the roll was too large in circumference so u had to take two bites or else u would choke. The red pepper roll was alright, but it lacked flavour.

After 15 years in the hood, Sushi Rock deserves its props as a cornerstone of the Yonge and Eglinton dining scene. They deliver all day with separate rates for daytime and evening, though delivery is free at night with a minimum order of $20. Regulars recommend the house specialty super rolls for their flavour and value. Try the eight-piece Dragon on Fire, a tiger shrimp tempura and crab roll topped with salmon and red snapper, covered with homemade sauce and flamed.
