A good place to stop in for a pint of Strongbow anytime; The Artful Dodger has a good selection of beers you won't find at every pub. This used to be our local pub until we moved away. Great atmosphere in an old house building, great prices and decent food. Loved sitting by one of the fireplaces with a pint and a Dodger Club (with real turkey, not deli slices). The staff was very friendly and over the years we got to know many of them. They also had fun Halloween parties, great Thanksgiving style meals and holiday parties. It always had a cozy feel in the fall/winter and enjoyable patios in the spring/summer.
I used to go here all the time and loved the funky ambience, but last time I was there, the smell of stale beer was a little overpowering. However, it's the kind of place you go to be yourself and its really conveniently located. Servers are always nice although probably overworked. It's kind of like your basement rec room.
