It is a difficult thing to witness overwhelming challenges daily; to work toward a goal that is seemingly unreachable. Yet it can also be a moment of exhilaration to set yourself such a challenge. This struggle is being waged by youth that are seeking to stay in school, stay housed, and stay healthy. It?s the struggle of all the Niagara regional services to see that these youth win that fight. Success is not a given and too many of Niagara?s youth lose that battle every day.The good news is that year by year, more youth are winning that fight.The RAFT is operated by the Niagara Resource Service for Youth. The RAFT helps kids living on the street and those at risk of being on the street. Through its Neighbourhood Awakening and After School Programs, the RAFT helps young people and local groups make positive changes in their neighbourhoods.
