Carlo's Cantina Comfort Mexican Food invites you to their establishment. Explore a menu featuring nachos, tacos and empanadas, priced at 11$ to 25$. Their atmosphere has been described as casual. You can get there by car.
We decided to try this place for the first time, after entering and browsing the menu, we choose the Beef Enchilada,Juan’s Taquitos and the Picadillo.
First off the Enchilada was measly accompanied with uncle Ben's rice and frozen veggies, it was bland.
The Taquitos were small and greasy and quite tasteless, they tasted processed as well, as for the Picadillo it was hardly worth the 10 dollars we paid for it,we didn't even eat it. (4 inches wide) overall if it weren't for the great service I would say this place is not worth checking out.
Carlos is one of the better places you can eat Downtown on a work day. You can normally get in and out in around a half hour. But, it it's busy when you walk in, it might take a while. Remember, there is only room in the kitchen for one man.
The food at Carlos is good Quality Mexican, but not what you would typically get if you ordered Mexican at another restaurant. Because of this, some people are turned off to the food. The best thing to do it order what you feel is good, and take advantage of the additional sauces that are on the table. That's what they are there for.
Closing Comment:
The food is good, the service is quick, and the meals are cost effective. Just don't expect a quick in/out if it's busy.
ok, so i've been to carlos cantina's aout 4 or 5 times. The service is so bad, i mean i got a dirty look from our waitress when i asked for more guacamole.
at first i thought that maybe they were having a bad day or something, so i let their rudeness slip.
but after going again last month, it was so bad, that i'm not going to be going there again.
The fact that their service is so bad is a bit sad, because i actually liked their food.
I don't recomend wasting your time there.
