The atmosphere was great, the food really good with suggestions from our server. The service was very good (not excellent), because the restaurant was full.
The meal was very good as was the service. The soup was hot and delicious. The pasta dishes were hot and tasty. Our waiter was attentive and the only complaint is that he neglected to offer seconds on the coffee until the meal was over.
The service was horrible. We waited almost 10 minutes after being seated before we could even place drink orders. Our main dish came before we had a chance to touch the appetizers. Not once did she ask if we needed anything. If we asked her for something she'd roll her eyes then proceed to follow up on it. Sometimes taking almost five minutes to do so. The kids never recieved their dessert or toy that comes with the meal. She never tried to upsell anything. She just printed the bill and tried to get us out of there. I have more to say but I'm sure you get the picture. We won't be rushing back.
Upon our arrival we saw an employee out front smoking he ended up being our waiter then we were seated near the seating area where the menus are kept where the emplyess decided to stand and have an inapropriate and loud discussion the drink order was incorrect it wasnt even close to what was ordered and again the place was not busy
Years ago these restaurants used to be a GREAT place to go and enjoy a good meal with friends. Over time they have turned into the worst places to go not only because of really bad service but also the food has slowly gone down hill. It has finally got to the point were neither myself and any of my friends are willing to go see what disapointing surprise awaits us behind the doors of an East Side Marios.
