Friendly. Very talented when it comes to decorative art on nails. Best nail spot in town
They are NOT good at nails. I have been twice and both times they have butchered my nails. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.
I've ordered pho at pretty much every Viet place in Kingston, and Little Saigon's is the only one that I find palatable. It's nothing like Toronto, but for Kingston standards..it isn't too bad. The pad thai here, on the other hand, really isn't the greatest; the ingredients didn't really seem all that fresh.
The food, service and prices at Little Saigon are unbeatable in Kingston! I absolutely love the food there and try to eat there at least once a month. Ideally, I'd like to eat there once a week, and it is affordable. They will make your dish mild, medium or spicy and they have superb spring rolls that shouldn't be missed!
Pad Thai tasted like dirty shoe meets rotton cat food. Awful. No effort or love was put into the food. Place was dirty My friend had the PHO. His was good but how hard is it to screw up making Pho? Will not return. Ew
The yellow curry chicken was amazing here, never had anything like it anywhere else. You can taste the perfect blend of curry and the sweetness of the pineapples just made it truely appitizing. The springrolls were also perfectly crunchy and the golden brown. I loved everything about it! However, it was really busy this weekend and got insanely crowded... a small place with too many people. But besides that the service and food was excellent, its a must try!
If this is the best Vietnamese restaurant in Kingston, then we are sorely disappointed. The salad rolls were uninspired (the beef had barely any flavor???). Hardly any meat or vegetables were given with the vermicelli, which, by the way, were quite bland and overcooked. In fact, the only discernable flavor was the diluted fish sauce; copious amounts of hot sauce were required to finish the meal.
Okay, the decor is not the best Kingston, but it is one of the best places to eat. I found the portion sizes to be large and the wait staff to be wonderful. The food was fresh and the flavours we astounding. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to try Thai food.
This place is by far the best Thai & Vietnamese cusine I have ever eaten. I love their pad thai and spring rolls. The customer service is friendly, the food is great and very spicy! I remember trying #64 spicy, now enjoy it on mild. This is my favourite place to eat during the winter however, they are always packed in the winter seasons so its hard to find seats.
i just moved here from toronto and all i gotta say that the spring roll here is a wonderfull and the Green Curry Chicken was amazing too ...now i try to make it here at least twice a week...either for my lunch or dinner
i have been eating here since they just opened ..its not a fancy place. but they got a good thai taste . I have never been disappointed , during the school year ... the place always packed with all students from queen ..
I don't get it. This place is really bad. I agree with Vat that the flavors are awful. The place feels dirty and when you get it as take out the portions are considerably smaller and cold. I am definitely not going back especially with all the other great Thai places in the area.
I am really surprised by all the positive reviews here. I went there and the flavours were nothing close to some other Thai restaurants in Kingston. The dishes come so fast that it makes me think there is a giant vat of curry sauces in the back, which they just place on any meat or rice you order. Even so, the dish was very bland and not fresh tasting at all. I would recommend other Thai restaurants in the area.
I have been eating at lil Saigon for the past 5 years. I have tried every Thai place in the city and I must say that for consistency, flavour and friendliness this is by far the best experience for miles. The menu is very diverse and will keep you busy for quite some time. I have had the pleasure of working downtown for the past year and I frequent this establishment at least twice a week. I have never been disappointed. The Spring Rolls are the best I have ever experienced. The interior is not fancy, but it is clean and comfortable enough. Don't let the appearance fool you. It is miles above the rest.. Give it a shot..You will not be disappointed.
I read about this place from other reviews on here, when we got downtime and saw the place I had second thoughts. After we tasted our food I was really impressed - decent meals - everyone enjoyed theirs and good prices - cheap! Lots of students in there - not a fancy place to go but a good cheap meal for sure. I would go again.
If u have never have been to this place ... YOU GOTTA TRY IT OUT !
I live close enought to princess st. address to not have to sit in the anti - atmosphere seating area. what this retaurant lacks in a adequate seating area, it makes up for with the high quality of the food. i have been getting take out once bi-weekly for about a year now. I always get the beef & veg rice noodle #36 and the hot and sour soup #12. I usually have the soup minus the eggplant as a personal preference. the soup is absolutely to die for! this feeds two adults comfortably (although i have ate this combo independently on occasion) and it costs just under 14.00 plus tax but you do get a 10% discount for pick up. service is prompt and friendly. can't beat the price, the servings are large and the food is delicious. what else could you ask for????
I decided to try this place after reading the reviews here, and it's now become one of my favourite restaurants in kingston. cheap food and plenty of it, can't wait to come back.
Absolutely 10/10. Not a fancy place, but for really good Vietnamese food, this is the place to go. And you can't beat the price!!!!!
We have been eating here for years and it is one of our favorites. It is comfort food from a restaurant that you can count on. We usually take delivery and the food always arrives quickly and is hot. Our children can always find meals that suit their taste buds. It is our Sunday night fav and we appreciate them!
