It's such a laid back atmosphere. I'd love more choices in seating, but I'd hate to see it actually move location.
Even my carnivorous husband loves it. Great local microbrews on tap too.
I noticed someone suggested visiting the cornerstone if they want to experience the downtown culture.. I beg to differ due to the fact that this is ultimately an extremly exclusive spot for very few individuals who live in this town. If you dont care that people will judge you as soon as you walk in, then its a nice spot to get some veggie food.
I feel compelled to make some comments having read what others said about the wait staff attitudes.
The last time I visited Cornerstone, my friend and I ended up leaving before being served due to the attitude of the waitress. She was incredibly rude and huffy, making us feel quite unwelcome. It was this very attitude that made us pick up and take our business to another area restaurant.
I love the cornerstone Club. It's always great. The service, however, was a bit lackluster. The people who came after us were friends with the waitress so they go to order first, even though there was 8 of them and only 2 of us. And there is a bit of attitude to this place. However, the CC is great :-) And the antijitos are some of the best I've ever had.
everytime i am in guelph i go to the cornerstone... fantastic vegetarian dishes (you can take a meat eater there and NOT be worried about it) and amazing daily specials that change from breakfast to lunch and again at dinner. the food is well priced and tasty, so much variety and a lot of favourites. i love the atmosphere, the food, the patio...it's overall an awesome place to eat, chat, have a tea and relax.
