I needed a quick lunch and decided to stop in for some sushi. For a lunch hour on a weekday, it was very empty - I was one of about 3 or 4 other customers. The food was disappointing. The rice had too much vinegar and there was a very small portion of fish in each piece. I felt very ripped off. The service was overwhelming. I was asked probably 10 times in the 30 minutes I was there if I enjoyed my meal. I could barely take a bite without someone beside my table asking me how it was. I like being checked up on, but this was ridiculous. All it did was annoy me by the time I left. I also find it interesting that every time there is a negative review, "Dan" is repeatedly back with a high score and complaints about reviews being competitor-driven - maybe his comments are management-driven. People are entitled to their opinion, and in my opinion, this restaurant isn't worth it.

I came for a quick dinner after work and was one of only 3 customers at 6pm. The fish was not fresh - it wasn't cold enough and tasted like it had been sitting out all day. The sushi looked horrible. The knife was not sharp enough when cutting and all the pieces looked smushed an unappetizing. When I picked up the pices of sushi, it fell apart because it wasn't rolled well. The rice was also mushy and very vinegary. This is worse than grocery store sushi! Very disappointing.

Great place. Was there on Nov 8 for lunch and only complaint was having to wait (not sure where previous reviewer went for lunch - once again it appears to be some competitive rating manipulation). We work across the street and visit frequently for lunch - it's consistently good.

I was surprised to find the parking absolutely...

I was surprised to find the parking absolutely empty during lunch time. It should've given me a clue. The worst sushi I've ever had. Very sour salad dressing. Both rolls and sushi had a strange formaldehyde-like aftertaste of some food preservative. I was the only customer and it was about 1 PM Wednesday or Thursday. Yes, it is relatively cheap, but I would not eat there even if they want to pay me.

Outstanding service - always friendly and...

Outstanding service - always friendly and helpful. Bento Box serves the freshest, most flavourful maki rolls I have encountered. I have eaten at over 30 Japanese restaurants across Canada and this is freshest and best prepared food. The food is always reliable and made with great care and attention - and like the previous poster, the staff are quite fluent in English and extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend Bento Box to others.
