A permanent fixture in West Vancouver since its doors first opened in 1948, The Village Fish & Oyster Market is the country’s longest-running seafood market this side of Toronto.
“We’re a destination shop, and people come from all over the place to pick up their fresh fish,” says owner Mark Van Sickle. The display cases are packed with several varieties of barbecued and smoked salmon along with an abundant array of fresh local seafood, all hand-selected by Mark.
“Nothing is delivered to the shop, I pick it all up myself,” he says. In addition to the plentiful offering of fresh seafood, you’ll discover freshly prepared local favourites such as crab cakes and bacon-wrapped Digby scallops.
