“We know hockey,” says Steve Jung, co-owner, along with Russ, Mike, Chris and Kathy of Ice Level Source For Sports. "We love the game." Growing up playing Canada’s favourite game, the Jung siblings thought it only natural to open a store dedicated to supplying their hockey community with the equipment it needed.
“Starting up any company from scratch is tough,” Steve admits, “because you don’t have the clientele.” But the staff had great connections to hockey players from their own teams, and word of their expertise, honest pricing and friendly customer service quickly spread. Now seasoned veterans at the store, they’re known for their deep knowledge of not only hockey but of lacrosse and ringette, too.
“When new stock comes in,”Steve says, “it’s like Christmas for us. We’re eager to try out the latest gear and pass it on to our customers.”
Knowledgeable and friendly staff. This store was recommended by a friend and now this is the place I will stop first for hockey equipment. The staff was very informative about their products and I trust them for the right fit for me when it comes to hockey. Parking is free and available on most days.
The place is always buzzing and vibrant which goes to show why so many people favour the place. The staff is absolutely expert and they love their job. They play the game and know the gear inside out and help you make sense of all the choices. Prices are great too. I've never ever been disappointed and with 2 boys playing hockey, one now in LaCrosse, and me coaching, believe me, we've gotten plenty of advice, support and great deals too.
