Festival Hall is a unique and original space available for special events, including weddings, workshops, meetings and cultural festivities.
Historically, Festival Hall was a part of the Armory, known as the shooting range, and was transformed into an assembly hall. It later became a gymnasium used by Lindsey Thurber High School.
In 1988, the gymnasium was leased to the Red Deer Folk Festival Society. With the support of member groups, the City of Red Deer, the Government of Canada, and many volunteers, the gym was renovated to create a warm and attractive community facility.
Festival Hall is a bright, 3,750 sq. feet space featuring a 1,225 sq. ft. dance floor, a stage, high ceiling, and large windows. A mezzanine follows the full length of the building and is accessible by a spiral stairway.
A kitchen with limited cooking facilities, ample space for food preparation and a walk-in cooler is available.
Festival Hall can accommodate up to 420 persons.more...See more text
