Drs. Michael Mason-Wood and Christina Bjorndal, husband and wife, met while studying naturopathy. They combined their unique backgrounds and experiences, along with their formal medical training, to create Natural Terrain Naturopathic Clinic in 2003.
Michael started in the diamond drilling industry, but it was his First Nations background and interest in herbal medicine that inspired him to study naturopathy. Christina worked as an executive at a global financial institution — a stressful position that caused her to re-evaluate her life and make some drastic changes.
After suffering from depression, anxiety and an eating disorder for years, she met a naturopathic doctor who turned her life around and inspired her to follow his path. “I became a naturopathic doctor because I was sick and tired of being sick and tired,” says Christina.
