Smell is the sense most closely tied to memory. That’s why just a small hint of s'mores can immediately take you back to a childhood camping trip. It’s also why perfume is such an important component of an outfit or style. And if anyone knows perfume, it’s Rima Wadhwani. She runs the Parfum Gallerie in Bankers Hall. “You don't walk out of your house without brushing your hair,” she says. “In the same way, you’re not complete without your fragrance.”
ParfumGallerie carries nearly 3,000 varieties of fragrances. There’s the rare and hard-to-find alongside the brand-new, as well as scents by acclaimed designers like Issey Miyaki and Narciso Rodriguez. The store also sources from Europe, so Rima can track down even the most obscure fragrances for her customers.
